This is one peachy episode! We’re joined by Yuri Kato, the founder of Fruitland Augusta Vodka. Made from Georgia peaches, her Peach Vodka and Peach Tea Vodka are some of the tastiest spirits we’ve brought to our lips. Hank, VBC, Matty and Kelsey are also on this one so listen in!
On this special episode of Vortex Radio, Hank Benoit is the host! Joining him is the ever-faithful Vortex Baby Colin and three of Hank’s buds from The Love Truncheon. What’s a love truncheon? You’ll have to listen to find out. I’ll give you a hint though, it involves golf and a lot of booze.
This month on the live podcast, things got a little crazy. We had pro wrestler, Navy Ogbuokiri AKA The Dark Mon, come in and shoot the shit with us. Everything was running smoothly until we let the audience ask questions. One audience member, Kristin, had the brilliant idea of daring Navy to pick me, Vortex Baby Colin, up over his head. Why not? I didn’t really have a choice in the matter so we went up to the front of the stage and I prepared for the worst. When he first picked me up, it didn’t seem that bad. “Oh, he’s just picking me up around his shoulders,” I thought. I thought wrong. Navy then fully extended his arms upwards and lifted me over his head. As if being lifted eight feet up in the air wasn’t ridiculous enough, he was lifting me by my neck! Afterwards, someone in the audience said that they thought my head was going to explode. Luckily, I survived the ordeal and am here today to give you photographic proof that this happened. Check out the photos below, see more of The Dark Mon at https://www.instagram.com/thedarkmon/ and listen to the podcast over at Feats of Drunken Strength. (more…)
We recorded our first official live episode of Vortex Radio the other week! We brought the whole set up to the Laughing Skull Lounge in Midtown and, thanks to some handy carpentry by Michael, made our first legit stage set up. Check out the photos in this post to see just how bad ass it was and then come and see it in person the first Thursday of every month at 3:30 p.m. in The Laughing Skull Lounge (we’ll have free beer). Also, go ahead and listen to the live episode! (more…)
Are you curious about what Michael wore at pride? We’ve got all of the photos! Check out the photos in this post to also see photos of Rebecca AND Vortex Baby Colin. Unfortunately, the stories were slightly embellished about what Colin wore that day but you won’t be disappointed by Michael’s outfit. (more…)
